“It is written that the Powers have, as it were, a kind of masculine and unshakable courage in all their activities. They look to that transcendent power which is the source of all power. It is also said that they are assigned to fight evil and defeat the plans of Satan.”
Of the nine choirs of angels, the Powers are of the middle rank, higher than guardian angels, and they “order how what has been commanded [by God] … be carried out by others” including protecting from evil spirits.
The good powers seek to battle for the glory of God and protect us, while the evil powers, knowing they have lost the battle to Christ, are hostile towards God
In their celestial forms, powers appear like brightly colored, hazy fumes. Powers are border patrol agents between heaven and Earth. They are the angels of birth and death. Some believe that they also preside over demons who wish to overthrow the world, while others, namely St. Paul, thought the powers themselves were the evil ones. In any case, powers are a group of experts who serve as advisers in terms of religion, theology and ideology.
Powers are warrior angels against evil spirits defending the cosmos and humans. They are known as potentates. These spirits hold one of the most dangerous tasks and are responsible for maintaining the order between heaven and earth. They are the major line of defence and battle during heavenly warfare. Powers maintain order around planet earth and protect it from being overthrown by Satan and oversee the distribution of power among humankind, hence their name.
Powers are also tasked with guarding the celestial byways between the two realms. They are the bearers of conscience and the keepers of history and as created warrior angels they are completely loyal to God.
Serves against disasters and delivers prisoners. Astrologically, this spirit signifies inner and outer work. This angel gives light to distant people who have received no news for a long time. Will bring exiles back to their native land, and uncover lost or stolen belongings.
